THE STORY

The Rotary Windsor is one of those watches that punches well above its price point, and this example makes the case beautifully. The full champagne guilloche dial is the star of the show — a hypnotic starburst engine-turned pattern that radiates from the centre in interlocking arcs, creating a depth and texture that shifts constantly in changing light. It's the kind of dial work more commonly associated with watches at three or four times the price, and Rotary have executed it with real confidence here.

The all-gold-tone presentation — polished case, five-row bracelet, matching crown — is cohesive and rich without tipping into excess. The day-date window at three o'clock adds practical daily functionality, and the sapphire crystal protects the dial from the wear of everyday wear. It comes complete with its original Rotary box and papers, a fresh battery, and is running well. A genuinely impressive package for the money.
